Poems – Boxes.
Don’t try to fit into a box. Don’t confine yourself to those walls…break out of the damn thing altogether.

Poems – Who You Are.
Who we are today…this version…is the one that we need to be concerned with the most. How can we improve upon today so that tomorrow can be better? Living in the past keeps us trapped in a bubble, preventing us from finding any sort of forward momentum.

Poems – Expectations.
We expect a lot from other people. We sometimes expect others to bring their A game to the table….to be better friends, companions, coworkers, or family members. But are we doing the same? If we’re going to expect these behaviors from other people, we’ve got to first develop them in ourselves.

Poems – Find Your Words.
Where’s there’s creativity, there’s hope. Self expression is like opening the curtains and letting the light shine in. It teaches you who you are, and oxygenates your thoughts. Go create something…anything. Find your medium…and find yourself.

Poems – Today.
We can’t live yesterday and today at the same time.

Poems – Blue Answers.
Keep searching, keep fighting, keep dreaming, and keep believing.

Poems – Definition.
We hear all the time that we should not defined by our pasts. And for the most part, there’s truth to that. We shouldn’t let our past struggles, our weary days, our faults, and our mistakes guide us and allow us to create a false narrative about who we are.
.
On the flip side though, there’s strength. Strength realized and strength earned…from having overcome those past mistakes and struggles and weary days in order to make it to today. This moment. Who we WERE created the strength to become who we ARE. Today. Let that strength define you.

Poems – Build the Calm.
Chill out. Relax. The world is a busy place, and we are so often like ants clambering around trying to catch up and trying to find our place. Why not slow it down a bit? Life shouldn’t have to rush by us. Create a peace so beautiful that the days slow down to catch up with YOU.

Poems – Focus.
Think about it. How easy is it to complain about the things we don’t have..the job we don’t have, or the money, or the life that we don’t have? The things that we think we need, the things that we think will make us better or happier or more complete?
.
What would happen if we focused more of that energy on trying to fix some of the things that keep us in a state of discontent? There’s a lot that we don’t do, mostly because we’re afraid of doing them. There’s so much power in self love and self examination. Let’s look inward and redirect more of our love and energy toward what WE can do to find meaningful solutions.

Poems – Relax.
This world can stress us out. Go ahead, admit it. We’ve all got so much on our plates these days that it’s easy to feel like you’ve lost control a bit. But is all that worry worth it?
.
Relax. How many of those stresses, in the end, will have mattered? Maybe we take this life too seriously sometimes. Enjoy it.
