wow, and it’s brilliant! i don’t know anything about japanese death poetry, but it must be succinct and to the point.
Your poem makes one reflect – your words paint a solid picture – ..”autumn leaves on a great wind”…”a lifetime of thoughts”…”ending in a brittle gust”. Now that I’m older I definitely have so many memories that take me back and forth daily. I reflected on them after reading your poem. Great job!
