Friendship is a word that should be seldom used,
reserved for those spirits that manage to touch every layer of our
heart and mind,
reserved for those who have earned passage into our thoughts,
those souls that bind with us and live with us always-
friendship is a bond very much like family,
unbreakable despite time and distance and circumstance
that allows us the freedom to explore the world from
the safety of a different mind’s perspective,
while highlighting the importance of our own special place-
a good friend will ignite the fires of adventure and rally
our aspirations into action…
a good friend nourishes, understands, and inspires, and as a result,
mirrors our own values and virtues,
a window open to the air of generosity,
a spark that allows us to see the depth of our own capabilities-
friendship is a word that should be seldom used,
reserved for those spirits that touch us, bind with us, and have
earned passage into our thoughts-
true friendship knows no time, distance, or circumstance…
true friendship is a gift*
Rest well, Martha.
