Poems from the Vault – Resolve.

Naysayers will naysay; it’s just what they do.  Some are born into that role it seems, and will stifle you at every turn in an attempt to rob you of your sunshine.  We won’t let that happen, will we?  Self belief is a powerful thing; strong enough to block the advance of the naysayers and stop them dead in their tracks.  Got a goal?  Go for it.  Don’t let the thoughts of others get in your way. Best of luck, and thanks for reading.

Poems from the Vault – Balance.

This is an older post (older, yet still relevant) written as a reminder that, no matter what we’re going through, there’s always a duty…yes, a duty, to believe that there is hope at the end of whatever road we’re on.  We owe it to ourselves to believe.  Our personal journeys can bear fruit…we’ve just got to believe, recognize, and put in the work.  Speak up, speak out, and stand tall.  Best of days to you all; keep moving forward.

Storytime Saturday, featuring an excerpt from A Million Little Boxes – a work story.

The day that my potato exploded in the microwave was an eye opener.  It was a sign…an omen.  A message from the powers that be.  Maybe I’d nuked that fucker for too long, or maybe I just didn’t give a shit.  Either way, that little vegetable bastard decided to commit culinary suicide and blew itself spud first all over the confines of the microwave with a mere five seconds left.  I mean, c’mon…it couldn’t have kept its composure for a measly five more seconds?  Suck it up, god damn it!  I had no money left, I had no lunch, and I was hungry enough to eat the scum out of the bottom of a homeless man’s shoes.
It was definitely a sign…an omen…a message from the powers that be.
