Poetry – Seasons.

It’s summer here…and it’s hot.  Seasons change; and the older we get, the faster they seem to go, right?  But one thing’s for certain…the cycle of seasons will continue.  Life goes on.  And what a beautiful cycle it all is (even though autumn is the BEST), so let’s enjoy each sweaty (or frosty, depending on where you are) moment.  Read on if you’d like, and best of days to all.

Summer drifts behind the clouds
as the autumn sheds its skin
and howls wildly into the crisp of the
night air-
the moon shines upon the winter
frost,
while spring slumbers and dreams of
the yellow tint of April-
seasons linger and fall like the rushing
tides,
years drift along the wind like the scattering
of a thousand leaves…
another gone, another sleeping patiently,
waiting for its time to open eager eyes-
we all drink from the same cup,
our wine as sweet as our intention*
