I could run through quite a few hours here, lost in thought.  Clean lines, fresh, open air, lush, wooded horizon, and minimal details lead to one clean, relaxed ambiance.  It’s the perfect place to kick back, close your eyes, and find your peace…as well as the ideal place to post up, open your eyes, and appreciate the immense beauty of the world.  Oh, and the snow is awesome, too.

Light your fire, grab your coffee (or wine), snag your book…and cozy up to the warmth of this week’s great wintry space.

Poems – True Self.

Short and sweet today…find your authenticity.  It’s there, whether or not you’ve discovered it, and it’s a truly beautiful thing.  Find it, embrace it, cultivate it, and then earn your way toward living it.  We can.  Best of days to you all, and thank you for visiting!

Poems – Natural Strength.

Earth…what a beautiful creation.  It has lived and breathed for eons, despite the often destructive eccentricities of humankind.  Earth embodies a strength that is hard to quantify, but is easily felt.  I think that, in today’s technologically advanced world, it’s all too easy to remain cooped up and locked behind walls, both literally and figuratively.  Let’s open the doors, get out, and soak up as much of that natural strength as we can.  Peace and blessings to all.

Essential Egon.

There’s a striking solemnity to this piece that is very intriguing.  Another great work from a fantastic painter.  Enjoy

Autumn Trees, 1911.

Essential Egon is a weekly post dedicated to celebrating the work of a fearless artist who was capable of translating the colors of the human soul. Check him out.

Quotes – Go the Distance.

We’ve all been there; looking back on a time in our lives where, had we exerted just a little more effort, we would or could have accomplished some achieveable goal.  And now we think to ourselves, “why didn’t I try harder?”  It’s easy to end up in that predicament.  Flip the concept on its head and let’s try to remember that we can control how much of ourselves that we put into any given goal.  If we half ass a project, we will get half assed results.  Go full blast?  The sky’s the limit.  Let’s not box ourselves into a life of stunted efforts…let’s give these days 101%.  Because we CAN.   Best of days today!

Library Lusting.

We grab our selected books…we kick back with our drink of choice…and then we ooze into a soft chair and dive eyes first into the beautiful sea of words.  How awesome would it be if this were the room, and these were the chairs?  I was instantly drawn to this room due to its hidden fort sort of vibe; it has a rugged and rustic charm that plays well with the simplicity of its added comforts.  A quaint, sturdy little space seemingly tucked away gently from the rest of the home, plush chairs nestled under a sunlit window, and an army of books standing at attention.  I’ll take it.  This is a book lover’s room.

Poems – Once More Unto the Breach.

Today’s positive message; keep on trying.   Are you working on something, but have lost the mojo to continue?  Keep on trying.  Stuck in a rut like quicksand and can’t pull out of it?  Keep on trying.  Wanting to turn around and give up the fight?  C’mon…keep on trying.  Smile.  Take a glance at the poem below if you wish (and have a minute or five); good day/evening to you all, and thanks for dropping by.

This week’s addition to the collection is very similar to last week’s wintry selection in one distinct way…the seclusion.  Oh, the lovely peace that this seclusion would provide.  Now if you’ve seen one too many scary movies, I could totally see why you’d be afraid to cozy up to a desolate and slightly vulnerable space like this one.  But if you’re in the mood for an immersive and adventurous injection into nature, this little mobile residence is just right.  A gorgeously tidy little minimal house on wheels to shack up in for life on the go.  Because sometimes the road is calling your name…and you’d better be ready to answer it with your crib in tow.  And this picture is also packed with snow, which is the ultimate cherry on top.

Light your fire, grab your coffee (or wine), snag your book…and cozy up to the warmth of this week’s great wintry space.
