Poetry – Seasons.

It’s summer here…and it’s hot.  Seasons change; and the older we get, the faster they seem to go, right?  But one thing’s for certain…the cycle of seasons will continue.  Life goes on.  And what a beautiful cycle it all is (even though autumn is the BEST), so let’s enjoy each sweaty (or frosty, depending on where you are) moment.  Read on if you’d like, and best of days to all.

I could run through quite a few hours here, lost in thought.  Clean lines, fresh, open air, lush, wooded horizon, and minimal details lead to one clean, relaxed ambiance.  It’s the perfect place to kick back, close your eyes, and find your peace…as well as the ideal place to post up, open your eyes, and appreciate the immense beauty of the world.  Oh, and the snow is awesome, too.

Light your fire, grab your coffee (or wine), snag your book…and cozy up to the warmth of this week’s great wintry space.

Poems – Natural Strength.

Earth…what a beautiful creation.  It has lived and breathed for eons, despite the often destructive eccentricities of humankind.  Earth embodies a strength that is hard to quantify, but is easily felt.  I think that, in today’s technologically advanced world, it’s all too easy to remain cooped up and locked behind walls, both literally and figuratively.  Let’s open the doors, get out, and soak up as much of that natural strength as we can.  Peace and blessings to all.

Essential Egon.

There’s a striking solemnity to this piece that is very intriguing.  Another great work from a fantastic painter.  Enjoy

This week’s addition to the collection is very similar to last week’s wintry selection in one distinct way…the seclusion.  Oh, the lovely peace that this seclusion would provide.  Now if you’ve seen one too many scary movies, I could totally see why you’d be afraid to cozy up to a desolate and slightly vulnerable space like this one.  But if you’re in the mood for an immersive and adventurous injection into nature, this little mobile residence is just right.  A gorgeously tidy little minimal house on wheels to shack up in for life on the go.  Because sometimes the road is calling your name…and you’d better be ready to answer it with your crib in tow.  And this picture is also packed with snow, which is the ultimate cherry on top.

Essential Egon.

Another fantastic piece from the incredibly talented Egon Schiele.  As always, he was able to express so much with so little.

Enjoy!

Poems – Following Daydreams.

If you’ve visited this space before, you by now may be fully aware of the fact that I love to dream.  If you’re new to this space, welcome aboard!  Hey, I’ll admit it…I am a professional dreamer.  I love a good daydream.  Who doesn’t, right?  I have an incredibly vivid imagination, and putting that imagination to work is a fun challenge.  You know what I’ve noticed, though?  Dreams are nothing without action.  They are just (super excellent) thoughts trapped within our brain until we do something about it.  It really all comes down to one thing…how bad do you want said dream?  If it’s worth accomplishing, then it’s worth the effort.  Let’s keep on dreaming…but let’s not don’t forget to do.  Peace and love (and good daydreams) to you all.

Essential Egon.

There’s a great, organic simplicity here…autumn is profoundly represented in the solitude of the tree, and in the solemnity of the gray sky.  They play well off of one another.  Quintessential Schiele, this one.  Thanks for taking a look…Enjoy!

This studio right here…clean lines, spacious, sharp.  The snowy view is just the cherry on top. The brain would be primed for action in a space like this!  Enjoy.
